Hybrid Dielectric Resonator Antenna for Diversity Applications With Linear or Circular Polarization

This article presents a novel dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) with an eight-port feeding system offering gain and polarization diversity. The single-antenna unit is defined by square arrangement of four aperture coupled slots (ACSs), hybridized the radiation resonator. Basically, atypical layout, realized two microstrip transmission lines driving each ACSs (thus requiring total eight feed lines), allows for controlled excitation polarization. feeder define DRA, which, can offer linear (LP), right-handed circular (RHCP), or left-handed (LHCP). Reflection coefficient coupling values different port scenarios are also investigated state L-band antenna. maximum about 5 dBic LHCP RCHP dBi when considering LP radiation.
